A clearing in a field. Brick volumes nestled low, quiet among the trees. Morning light through tall glass. A family of five. Evening meals beneath a timber span. Seasons mark time — in leaf, in snow, in bloom.

It begins with water, as all life does. A thread drawn north to south. Along its edge — marks. Five shelters. Five still points. Each breathes a season, holds a flame. Some rooted. Others lifted. Stone. Mist. Cloth. Ember. Sky. Each a path forward — an invitation to pause, to exhale, to reflect, to sigh.

A house, renovated into a family’s home. Train adjacent, cars ever-present. Collectors of the modern past — a curated womb. Blues in hues. Earth in tones. He wanted a dedicated studio. She, a wondrous garden. Seasonal colors as a marker of time. A love for patina, sun-drenched or rain-soaked. Their two young boys, playfully finding their way — between it all.

Between City street and stone-plinthed rail — a veil of glass, shutters, and gridded green. Galerías and loggias, in shadow and sun. A lattice of light, verde-framed, anchored in handmade clay and hand-troweled mud. Out back, a tangle — netted patina in cylindrical forms. A shared garden, track-adjacent — staging the seasons, their sublime bloom.

canopy above and ground below, set amid boulders and boughs — a home for four. Stick-built parts — some in lattice, others in slat — rest atop stacked, sparkling silvery stone. Small feet patter across plank and slab as light slips between granite and board. In spring, a filtered green. In winter, bare atmospheric white.

A brick skin to its timber-skeletal frame. Austere columns march the space, knowingly expressing their most vital role. Overhead, a framework — an ode to a dying craft. A measured grid in repetition. Wooden stick-built parts to a brick-by-brick whole. I was overwhelmed by its potential as I was with indelible awe. So beautiful—poised for another story.
